Owner and Handler must be active APLA Members

Both you as the owner and the person handling your dog at the APLA Hunt Test must be current members of APLA.

The dog must be UKC registered or submitted registration to the UKC

Your dog is required to be registered with the United Kennel Club (UKC) before before being credited with any APLA Hunt Test passes or Hunt Test Titles.

The dog must be a purebred Labrador Retriever - No dilute gene allowed.

Only purebred, Labrador Retrievers without dilute factors are eligible for APLA Titles.

To enter an event, you must fill out your and your dog information on www.huntsecretary.com. You should also keep this information up-to-date

Registering your Dog with the UKC

Enter Dog Info on HuntSecretary.com

APLA uses your and your dog's information from the huntsecretary.com website for the following purposes:

Preparing the Hunt Test Premium
Sending test results to the UKC for purposes of tracking and sending out Certificates.
Recording information into the APLA Dog Database;
Preparing the Triple Crown event guide and other APLA related documents.

If this information is incorrect or omitted it causes delays in your receiving certificates and results in inaccurate information being recorded in the APLA Dog Database and with the UKC.

If your dog is not registered with the UKC, do it now.

To run your PL in an APLA Hunt Test, your PL must be registered or you have submitted registration with the UKC.

Depending on the circumstances, this may be a time consuming process and it may prevent you from entering a hunt test.

APLA uses this information for Hunt Test Premiums, the APLA Dog Database and other publications. Make sure to add titles to your dog as it obtains them.
